#OwningIt – TEENS ONLY
Enjoy your life, be respected by adults and smash out your goals – Wee-Yeong Eyou
Do you wish that adults, including your parents, would trust you and respect your opinions? Do you get anxious thinking about the future? Worried you won’t be able to achieve your dreams and goals or worried that you don’t have any goals? Learn how to understand yourself better, begin to take ownership of your life and be respected by others while still having fun.
This talk is aimed at 14-18 year olds. Please make other arrangements for your teen after this session. If you’d like to book them for the whole afternoon, then please email us on email@example.com.
Afternoon tea is provided during the Expo – help yourself when you are ready
Love, Lead, Let Go: Raising Children who are Ready to Smash it in the Real World
Parenting is hard! Parenting while home-educating is even harder. How do we cope with the digital age? How do parenting roles change as our children get older? How do we inspire our children to be self-motivated instead of nagging them? Wee-Yeong Eyou will share stories and timeless principles for dealing with these questions and many others, enabling you to set your children up for confidence, independence and success – to love them, lead them and be ready to let them go!
What Should My Child be Learning, and Does it Really Matter?
What would my child be learning if they were at school? How do I know if they are ‘keeping up’? Do I have to keep up with school levels? What if I’m more of an unschooler? Or a Charlotte Mason homeschooler? What if I don’t know what I am?
Erin Parkinson will discuss how NZ schools decide what to teach and whether this matters for home educators or not!
